Website Screenshot Evidence Pack
Create and verify portable screenshot-review bundles with byte-preserved images, operator context, SHA-256 hashes, and JSON and HTML manifests.
The problem it solves
Website Screenshot Evidence Pack Website Screenshot Evidence Pack turns screenshots you already captured into a portable, locally verifiable evidence folder. It records operator-supplied context, copies the original pixels without re-encoding them, calculates SHA-256 fingerprints, and produces both a machine-readable manifest and a simple HTML index.
Who Website Screenshot Evidence Pack is for
- People handling browser, web, or document data who want a local and inspectable workflow.
- Users working with screenshots, evidence, checksums who want the documented v1.0.0 behavior.
- People who prefer an open-source release with visible limitations, source, and license terms.

Features in v1.0.0
Capabilities below come from the current project README and release documentation.
Website Screenshot Evidence Pack turns screenshots you already captured into a portable, locally verifiable evidence folder. It records operator-supplied context, copies the original pixels without re-encoding them, calculates SHA-256 fingerprints, and produces both a machine-readable manifest and a simple HTML index.
It is intended for QA handoffs, change records, support cases, and personal research where a loose screenshot is not enough.
Verified examples
Screenshots are shown only when the current README references a local source image. Otherwise, repository example files are linked directly.
Verified release evidence
This project does not currently publish a screenshot or dedicated example folder. The current README, tests, changelog, tagged release, and source repository remain the verified examples of its behavior.

Current limitations
These boundaries are part of the product and prevent the page from implying unverified capability.
The tool does not open the URL, capture a browser, alter screenshots, authenticate timestamps, or prove what was live on a website. It proves whether the packaged files still match their recorded bytes and image metadata. URL, browser, title, capture time, and notes are supplied by the operator and remain claims requiring human review.
All processing is local. There are no accounts, uploads, analytics, cookies, or network calls.
Privacy and licensing
Review the actual data boundary before using a tool with sensitive inputs.
