Changelog

Platform and dataset changes, newest first.

Platform 0.10.0

Five commercially useful public-data contracts join the Foundry

  • Added Public Companies & SEC Filings from the nightly EDGAR submissions archive and SEC ticker/exchange registry.
  • Added the complete current IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File regional extracts for nonprofit and charity identity search.
  • Added Census Vintage 2025 population totals, components of change, and aggregate demographic characteristics for state, county, and subcounty geographies.
  • Added the complete EIA Electricity bulk series archive with published observation arrays retained in each source payload.
  • Added NHTSA vPIC makes, models, manufacturers, vehicle types, and VIN-variable definitions without storing individual VIN lookups.
  • Expanded the shared catalog, source registry, search, documentation, examples, OpenAPI surface, validation gates, and reconciliation scheduler to 35 active APIs.
Platform 0.9.0

Twelve source-backed APIs join the Foundry

  • Removed Patents & Trademarks from the product catalog entirely.
  • Restored premium Countries & Geography and Unified Recalls releases with worldwide place data and complete declared FDA, CPSC, and NHTSA source coverage.
  • Released current-year Laws & Regulations, recent federal Procurement awards, all-calendar-day Historical Events and Historical People, and source-identified Mythology entities.
  • Added Global Aviation Facilities, World Bank Economic Indicator definitions, active National Weather Service alerts, the USGS rolling 30-day earthquake feed, and the complete ClinicalTrials.gov registry export.
  • Registered source-specific provenance, independent dataset versions, validation gates, search contracts, playground examples, and reconciliation schedules for every new release.
  • Kept live SAM.gov opportunities explicitly key-gated and retained legal, medical, emergency, preliminary-measurement, editorial-coverage, and licensing limitations in public contracts.
Platform 0.8.0

Complete occupations and taxonomy datasets return

  • Released the complete O*NET 31.0 database: all 45 source files and every source row, plus normalized occupations, titles, skills, abilities, knowledge, tasks, technology, and related-occupation relationships.
  • Kept BLS wage and projection data out of production because its official bulk-download host currently rejects reliable automated retrieval; no substitute or stale values were published.
  • Released the complete current ITIS monthly export with scientific names, accepted and unaccepted taxonomy, synonyms, common names, hierarchy, geography, and jurisdiction data.
  • Added explicitly U.S.-only Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species Act status enrichment and a dedicated atomically rebuilt species full-text index.
  • Activated quarterly occupation reconciliation and monthly taxonomy reconciliation through the existing stable scheduler pointer, ready to follow the product when the Experiment is promoted.
Platform 0.7.1

Cold search paths prepared for launch

  • Constrained shared full-text joins to exact datasets and releases and added the missing shared dataset/release lookup index.
  • Added an atomically rebuilt dedicated full-text index for the 2.1-million-record Food & Nutrition corpus, replacing its full-table fallback scan.
  • Final uncached diagnostics measured 365 ms median for Environment & Hazards, 209 ms for Public-Domain Works, 364 ms for Food & Nutrition, and 628 ms for Government Grants.
  • Added a repeatable diagnostic HTTP benchmark without creating a public latency SLA.
Platform 0.7.0

A smaller active footprint with three bounded APIs and Stripe-ready billing

  • Removed Occupations, Geography, Species, and Unified Recalls from production, including stored releases, source snapshots, raw files, routes, examples, and reconciliation jobs; retained concise deferred idea notes only.
  • Added complete current FEMA OpenFEMA disaster-declaration coverage through Environment & Hazards, with daily reconciliation.
  • Added current U.S. Census state and county Building Permit Statistics, explicitly excluding individual permits, contractors, applicants, addresses, and PII.
  • Added the complete current Project Gutenberg machine-readable catalog as Public-Domain Works metadata; no full text is stored and every item remains rights-verification-required.
  • Installed Stripe subscriptions, one-time credit packs, Billing Portal sessions, signed idempotent webhooks, customer/subscription state, and entitlement updates. Billing remains disabled until dedicated credentials and Price IDs are configured.
  • Kept procurement, patents/trademarks, historical people/events, mythology, and laws/regulations out of this batch because their credential, volume, legal-versioning, or editorial burden does not meet the current bounded-maintenance standard.
Platform 0.6.0

Seventeen active APIs on a client-server database

  • Released Business & Organization Knowledge with 10,391 identities from the current SEC ticker and exchange registry.
  • Migrated production serving, reconciliation state, API keys, usage accounting, source history, and all 17 active dataset releases from SQLite to MariaDB.
  • Removed Names and Healthcare Providers from the Foundry scope and deleted their source, importer, schedule, route, and documentation contracts.
  • Returned Laws & Regulations to the idea catalog only, with a requirement to validate developer demand and compare a bounded current-document API against a complete historical corpus before implementation.
  • Expanded Units with prefixes and constants, Chemical Elements with NIST isotope data, Currency Knowledge with amendment links and clearly marked non-authoritative successor candidates, and Holidays with source-qualified UN observances.
  • Added cursor pagination, response field projection, full-text search infrastructure, export manifests, change-feed infrastructure, and signed HTTPS webhook contracts.
  • Configured a serialized reconciliation scheduler through a stable server pointer so Experiment-to-Lab promotion only requires repointing the application location.
Platform 0.1.0

API Foundry initial launch

  • Launched the shared authenticated gateway with hashed API keys, request IDs, standard errors, pagination, rate limits, hard credit accounting, caching, and OpenAPI.
  • Established immutable raw snapshots, provenance, source health, validation gates, versioned releases, and atomic active-release promotion.
  • Released the first three APIs: Units & Measurements, Occupations & Careers, and Countries & Geography.
  • Published the initial documentation, authenticated playground, status surface, changelog, and complete future dataset idea catalog.
