Who operates this tool
Document Forge is an experiment from Logan Pendragon Forge, operated by Logan Pendragon. For questions about this policy or privacy requests, use the Forge contact page. Please do not attach sensitive documents to a support request.
What happens to your PDF
When you choose a PDF, the app reads it into the current browser tab. Rendering, form filling, signature creation, and PDF export run on your device. Document content, filenames, field values, signatures, and completed PDFs are not sent to our server or third-party processing services. We do not use them to train AI or sell them.
The app keeps working data in memory, not in local storage, IndexedDB, cookies, or a server database. There is no account or cross-device synchronization. It does not intentionally save document drafts between sessions.
Clear, close, and download
Clear document discards the working PDF, field values, placed marks, signature, undo history, rendered page, and download link from the app. Closing or reloading ends the working session. Download a copy before doing either: we cannot restore your work.
Because no document is uploaded, there is no server copy waiting for a midnight deletion job. This is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from your device. Clear does not delete your original file, downloaded PDFs, screenshots, clipboard contents, browser or operating-system recovery data, or copies another person has received. Manage those through your device and browser.
Website requests and operational logs
Your browser requests the website and its software, fonts, and other static assets from our hosting infrastructure. Like most web hosting, that infrastructure may process IP addresses, request paths, browser information, timestamps, response codes, and security events. These requests do not contain the document content or the information you enter in it.
Operational access and security logs are separate from documents and may be retained under hosting and security policies. They are not covered by the Clear document button or a promised midnight purge. We do not represent the service as anonymous or free of all traces.
Cookies, analytics, and external services
The Document Forge editor does not set cookies or include advertising, behavioral analytics, session replay, or third-party document processing. Its PDF libraries and fonts are served from our own site. Your browser may cache these public website files. Other Forge pages, including the contact page, have their own privacy practices; opening those pages takes you outside this editor.
Information you send us separately
If you contact us, the information you choose to send is processed to respond and manage that request, under the contact service’s published privacy terms. Do not send a PDF or signature when a description of the problem is enough. Any information held outside this tool may be subject to lawful disclosure, security needs, or applicable legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can use the tool without an account, clear your session, and control downloaded files and browser data yourself. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request. We cannot retrieve a document that was never uploaded.
Security and appropriate use
Use a trusted device and review your PDF before sharing it. Device malware, browser extensions, shared computers, and the files you download are outside the app’s control. No technology guarantees absolute security. This tool is not offered as a regulated document vault or as a service with a healthcare data processing agreement.
Future features and policy updates
We may add optional paid accounts or document management in the future. Any feature that stores documents will explain its storage, retention, choices, and terms before you use it. Using the current free editor does not enroll you in future storage. The core open, fill, sign, and download workflow will remain free. Material changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date.
