October 16, 2026 — Base preview 0.2
A draft you can return to
The online desk now keeps the previous saved chapter text in private history on each changed save, supports manual snapshots, and restores a selected version while retaining the outgoing draft. Stale restoration is blocked. Up to 30 snapshots per chapter are retained. Snapshot changes never alter a previously shared feedback excerpt. Private critique drafts now have a resume list on the desk. Binder item types and private notes can be edited online with revision checks.
Projects that travel
Download a portable .paradise.json project and import one as a new private project. Files preserve chapters, item types, project/item notes and snapshots within the stated limits. The Windows app and online desk exchange these files; no automatic sync or account linking is implied. Online imports are capped at 2 MB, 200 items, 120-character titles and 200,000 characters per item.
Discovery you can come back to
Save works to an account-private reading list, open a work’s detail link, and edit your own listing. Repeated saves do not create duplicates. Withdrawn listings disappear from saved reading. Existing search, genre filters, sorting and pagination remain; recent works now appear on first arrival. Mobile binder items display on separate lines.
Windows Environment 0.2.0
The unsigned Windows executable adds Scene/Research/Character/Note types, project and item notes, manual snapshots and restoration, current-scene search with wrap, UTF-8 text import and manuscript export in binder order. Manuscript export excludes research items and notes. Existing October 15 project files open with optional fields initialized. Saving remains explicit and preserves an adjacent backup on updates.

Verification and remaining limits
151 isolated web assertions passed with synthetic databases, including the existing critique/credit regressions, new persistence, ownership and malformed-file tests. The Windows build passed 24 storage checks and a form workflow smoke test. A synthetic web export was loaded/saved by the actual Windows executable, then imported back online. Twenty isolated headless Chromium checks passed across desktop and 390px widths for the affected pages and three concept tabs; screenshots were inspected.
The new homepage studies are separate from the current home design. Human-only and AI-assisted feedback remain visibly distinct; the site adds no AI provider calls or invented model output. No mail, payment or AI services were exercised in tests.
Unrun: interactive Windows file dialogs, keyboard-only Windows navigation, high-DPI and physical-device checks, crash recovery, concurrent-instance save races, load tests and live payment/email delivery. No installer, autosave, rich text, Scrivener import or cloud sync is included. This preview does not claim mature-product feature parity. Release/download checks are recorded separately in private receipts.
